Trying on shoes in store can be clinical and awkward. Why can’t it be a better experience ?

Idea
Our purpose was simple. Own footwork, the connection between the soul of your Nike ‘s and how they perform on court, creating a deeper connection through exclusive product moments and experiences.
Using interactive floor panels customers could recreate historic ‘footwork’ moments from legends of the sport, while trying out the latest shoes in the range.

Launch the new Uncle Toby’s Breakfast Bakes range.

Idea
30 years ago ‘That’s not how you make porridge’ became part of the Aussie vernacular when a Scottish boy starred in an ad for Instant porridge. So to launch Breakfast Bakes, we decided to bring it back.

The spot is approaching 3 million views, and has received the the most positive commentary online in the brands history.

Challenge
Create a new brand campaign for Powerade.

Idea
‘Work It Out’ explored the mental benefits of exercise and how sweat is the antidote to stress.

Challenge
Break convention in the performance motor oil category.

Idea
No CGI horses leaping out of bonnets. Capture the imagination of DIY car enthusiasts across Australia and New Zealand by celebrating the love that car modifiers (or ‘modifinkers’ as we call them) have for their vehicles, the compulsion they feel towards tinkering with their cars and their efforts to attain often-elusive perfection.

The two-minute hero film, the 30-second cut-down and three 15-second versions were broadcast across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and third party publisher websites.

McCann was appointed to develop a TVC to celebrate 80 years of Coca Cola being made in Australia. With AFL and NRL grand final media placements, TV ensured scale yet Mccann felt that to truly celebrate this occasion we needed to create something that would be talked about on a more cultural level.

Idea
Made & Shared down under for 80 years.

It’s a little known fact that Coca Cola has been made and shared right here for the last 80 years. From the factory, to the corner stores, beaches and festivals, we took a nostalgic look at all the relationships formed through the manufacture and delivery of Coca Cola right here in Australia.

But to really get people talking about Coca Cola ‘Down Under’, We took a literal approach at one of Coke’s most iconic spots in Australia, the Kings Cross Billboard. The famous site was flipped upside down as a testimony to our heritage down under.

With an enthusiastic public response, Coca Cola then appropriated all social assets to spread the message of ‘heritage’ through this simple visual device.

Challenge
Build awareness of Optus’s Contract Breaker deal. By breaking your contract and a few competitor rules, Optus would pay out your existing contract (and fines) and move your mobile account to them.

Idea
We knew that breaking the odd rule is sometimes a lot more fun than sticking to them.

So we decided to ask people to share their most hated rules on social. In response to their post we enlisted the greatest rule breaker of our time, Mr Dolph Lundgren to respond with a personalised rant in direct reference to the rule in question.

Each video was then submitted back to the person's feed with a barrage of positive sentiment around #contractbreaker #yesdolph filling the Optus F.B page.

Over 30 short form videos were filmed and uploaded to a YouTube channel and a super cut was edited and seeded a couple of days later.

Challenge
Reignite youth awareness and relevance around Remembrance Day on November 11.

Idea
Interrupt the one thing that interrupts us the most.

‘A Minute to Remember’ challenged Australians to turn off their mobile phones for one minute at 11am on November 11 as a sign of respect for returned service men and women.  

Participants registered within a Facebook app. Once in, they could choose to make a donation by purchasing a virtual poppy which was uploaded to their wall. Text messages were also sent out  5 minutes prior to 11am as a subtle reminder to turn off and pay respects.

This initiative gained strong earned media and a ton of outdoor placements courtesy of oOh media, all helping the campaign reach over 3 million Australians. DefenceCare’s Facebook page grew by 1500 people a day over seven days. The campaign ran for 4 years.

A series of radio spots showing how much easier it is to simply visit Hotels Combined rather than trawling the internet for a better hotel deal.

Challenge
Ask many young Australians about superannuation and they will tell you it’s a drag. When it affects me – if it affects me – I’ll worry about it then. Suncorp wanted to look at this problem differently and change the way we perceive superannuation.

Idea
We decided that the industry has visualised our future as daggy and predictable. Now why would anyone want to save for that?

Our solution was to showcase how people’s life passions where truly something worth saving for, a way to ensure that they can keep doing what they love forever, in whatever form that may be. To these people retirement is not the day you stop, rather one where you just keep doing it.

The idea was to make ‘superannuation’ a little sexier. Grey is the New Black presents a different outlook on retirement. It focuses on the now, rather than directly on the future.

A dedicated content hub housed a film series, photographic portraits, interviews, editorial articles and an integrated Facebook page which shared inspiring content from people who have found their ‘thing’.

Each of the films received over 200,000 views in the first month.

Evie was a creative group whose intention was to have fun. The work explored artistic installations, exhibitions, publicity stunts and events in the lifestyle and fashion spaces. Whether it was a brand collaboration or an art project the work (and parties) were always about creative exploration and most importantly having a good time.

Challenge
Showcase the new line of Ikea textiles.

Idea
With the daily grind on the ferries & trains being anything but bright, we gave people a little colour on their morning commute. Transport seating was wrapped in IKEA textiles to showcase a new line of colourful styles in an unsuspecting yet eye-catching manner.

Challenge

Get drivers to download the AAMI Safe Driver app. Increase numbers of people using the app and in turn contribute to safer roads.

Idea

Australians are a competitive bunch to say the least. We decided what better way to settle a score than a drive off with a difference. We gamified the technology via a social app so that people could challenge someone to a Driver Duel. The safer you drove the higher the score the higher your chance of winning the 100K.

I have lost the stats but they were very impressive.

Challenge
Petbarn’s tone with its customer to date had been heavily functional, but their direction was moving more towards the emotional. Our brief was to bring to life the ‘For Better Humans’ position.

Idea
A series of documentary films sharing stories of how one's pet can actually make you a better person.

Each film was focused around differing human needs: confidence, rehabilitation, and responsibility. A mixture of emotion and comedy offered a unique perspective into the lives of 3 very special people and their mates.

Each film had over 1 million views in the first month and drove significant uplift in engagement on the PetSpot content hub.

Evie was the creative muscle behind ‘The Ilvia Community’- a creative lifestyle brand with a distinctive point of difference. The brand offered people the chance to escape their daily grind, and the stresses and struggles of everyday city life by presenting a range of art installations, events, and free music gigs.

The creative collective had oversight of strategic brand direction, design and manufacture of accessories, apparel and eyewear, a monthly magazine, and The Ilvia Community website.

Frustrated with Melbourne’s repetitive social scene, Evie produced a series of underground parties.

These events played home to 500-1000 of Melbourne’s rebellious, fashion forward and carefree youths uniting them in obscure and desolate locations for an evening on mystique and intrigue.

Locations were sent via text message only minutes prior to the event. The text informed people to find the “Girl in the Gold Jacket” and ensured the big blue remained clueless…

This project in Sydney’s iconic QVB building saw the creative development of nature's narrative coming to life. A series of cascading paper flowers, blossoms, buzzing dragonflies and lush green foliage, were suspended from the central dome creating a spectacular visual from below.

Evie felt it was time to revitalise inspiration in the community by giving Melbourne a little reminder about just how precious our time really is.

At 3am in the morning with 2 tonnes of snow and one truck, a series of melting snowmen were installed in the CBD streets. Inbound city commuters were confronted with the obscure visual before taking a moment to ponder the underlying message.

Evie & Sabre Vision Eyewear brought back that naughty feeling you get the moment you sneak a peek of something you shouldn’t. The installation evoked the naughtiness in us all when the windows of 121 Chapel St in Melbourne presented the question should I or should I not sneak a peep?

Once unveiled the installation took the form of an exhibition space, with a few wild parties thrown in for the fun of it !
